Who is Yuccaman?

Elwood F. Langdon

Elwood F. Langdon 93, died June 20, 2007, at his home in Florida.

He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and lived in Fort Pierce since 1961, coming from Haddam Neck, Connecticut. He served in the 101st Calvary N.Y. National Guard. Before retirement, he was an industrial engineer for Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford, Conn., joining during World War II. He transferred to Pratt & Whitney Florida Research and Development Center in 1961.

He was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church in Port St. Lucie and a member of the choir and active with the building committee. He was a member of the Indian River Drive Freeholders Association, bridge and model boat clubs in the Fort Piece area, Indian River Community College member and local bands. Survivors include his sons, James A. Langdon of Indian Hills, Colo., and Richard E. Langdon of Fort Pierce; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace.

He is my grandfather, and he will be missed.
